Martin Kennedy has been provisionally suspended by the NRL

ROOSTERS prop Martin Kennedy has been provisionally suspended by the NRL following drug allegations.

On Wednesday, the 26-year-old was handed “a Notice of Alleged Anti-Doping Rule Violations under the NRL’s Leagues Anti-Doping Policy.”
The notice alleged Kennedy possessed and attempted to use banned substances.
The NRL has not stated which substances Kennedy is facing allegations over.
“The matter will now proceed to the NRL’s Anti-Doping Tribunal and the NRL will not be making further comment while this process is under way,” an NRL statement on Friday read.
The ASADA investigation into Kennedy reportedly surrounds his activities during his time at the Roosters in 2013.
He is expected to challenge the allegations, but faces a two-year ban if found guilty.
