A BREAKDOWN OF THE NRL'S TIGHTENED AND SIMPLIFIED CONCUSSION POLICY:
A player with a head injury must come off the field and cannot return if they:
* Lose consciousness
* Fall to the ground without taking protective action
* Have impaired memory
* Show disturbed balance
* Have a seizure
Under the new rules, there are no further tests - if the player shows any of these signs, they will sit out the rest of the match.
