Ana Ivanovic’s coach Nigel Sears collapses courtside during match

NIGEL Sears - the father-in-law of Andy Murray and coach of Ana Ivanovic - has been taken to hospital after collapsing at Rod Laver Arena.
Play was suspended for about 40 minutes after the incident occurred with Ivanovic leading Madison Keys 6-4 1-0.
The spectator - who Channel 7 identified as Mr Sears - appeared to receive CPR at the scene by paramedics.
He was stretchered out of the venue.

Channel Seven reported said Sears was “breathing, conscious and talking” in hospital.
He had reportedly asked for a TV to be wheeled into his room so he could watch the rest of Ivanovic’s match.
The station reported Sears, 58, was feeling unwell and left his seat before collapsing.
Both Ivanovic and Keys left the arena but play resumed about 8.40pm.
Murray’s match against Portugal’s João Sousa was already underway when the drama happened and continued, with Murray winning 6-2 3-6 6-2 6-2 while unaware of the drama playing out at Rod Laver Arena.
It is the second time this week there has been a medical drama at an Ivanovic match.
On Thursday, also at Rod Laver Area, Ivanovic’s match against Anastasija Sevastova was halted for 20 minutes after a woman fell down some stairs at the venue and required medical treatment.
