With interleague games, the crowd comes out to watch a good game of footy. We hope the Sunraysia crowd is nice and passionate, and loud.
"Interleague footy is an exciting thing to play and coach. If both sides can bring their best, the crowd will be happy.
AFL Victoria Community Football operations manager Gerard Ryan said the matches have been fixture to assist in deciding official rankings of leagues for 2017 and beyond.
Mr Ryan said another six leagues from north-east Victoria would compete in their own matches across the weekend.
"The opportunity to play senior representative football has been enjoyed by Victorian country leagues in the AFL Victoria Country Championship for many years, while metropolitan leagues have welcomed the return of representative football as part of the Metropolitan Championships since 2014," he said.
"It is exciting to be able to take this next step towards the establishment of a Victoria-wide senior football championships involving a host of leagues from across the state, providing hundreds of players the opportunity to represent their league.
"The AFL Victoria Community Championships will provide a true championship model allowing a league to be recognised as the premier community football league in the state as well as the opportunity for metropolitan and country leagues to play against each other on a regular basis."
