Djokovic advances courtesy of injury... again

Meanwhile, former Australian Open finalist Marcos Baghdatis has secured a place in his first Round 16 at a grand slam since 2009.
The 31-year-old Cypriot ousted American qualifier Ryan Harrison 6-3, 7-6, 1-6, 6-1 to prevail.
"I'm happy I'm in the second week," Baghdatis said.
"It's been a long time and I'm happy it came here. I never passed into the second week at the US Open."
Top seed Novak Djokovic cannot seem able to get a match at the US Open, as the world number one was given another rapid advance when Russian Mikhail Youzhny retired due to a leg injury when trailing 4-2.
Youzhny was treated during the changeover at 4-1 in the third-round match at Arthur Ashe Stadium and had his left thigh taped. He won the next game on his serve but could not continue, giving Djokovic a pass into the round of 16.
The Serb, winner of this year's Australian Open and French Open to complete a career grand slam, came into the match off a three-day break due to a walkover into the third round when Jiri Vesely of the Czech Republic withdrew.
"It's difficult to pick the words now. I don't think I ever had this kind of situation in my career, where I had a second-round walkover and the third round 30 minutes only," Djokovic said.
Defending champion Djokovic will next face either 20th-seeded American John Isner or 84th-ranked Briton Kyle Edmund with a berth in the quarter-finals at stake.

WHAT IT MEANS: The top-ranked Serb has admittedly not been 100 percent healthy himself due to a sore wrist. The abbreviated matchup with Youzhny, against whom he is now 7-3 lifetime, may help Djokovic’s cause in the long run, providing a lengthier-than-expected respite before his round-of-16 tilt with either American John Isner or Brit Kyle Edmund.
THE QUESTION: Djokovic continues to creep up on the all-time Slam champions' list, and with 12 major titles, he now trails only Roger Federer (17), Pete Sampras (14) and Rafael Nadal (14). Can the surging Serb catch or surpass that trio?
