There is something refreshing about new Fremantle recruit Nathan Wilson that Dockers fans are going to love.
With a healthy dislike for cross-town rivals West Coast, which he revealed soon after moving home to WA after a stint with Greater Western Sydney, Wilson has opened up on how he believes a new family focus will fuel his football.
The 24-year-old and his 31-week pregnant partner Stevie May Capurso are anxious to meet their baby son, who they plan to name Jayce.
“It’s come along quickly,” Wilson said after they posed for a picture shoot.
“The photos look great, but it’s so surreal. I remember a couple of the older boys at the Giants got a few done and I was like, ‘Gee, I can’t wait for myself to be in that position at some stage’.
“Hopefully he arrives safely and is ready to kick a footy around.”
Wilson said he had joined Dockers training for the first time this week and was keen for AFL premiership success with the club he supported in his youth.
