Banished Fremantle Docker Harley Bennell joins Peel Thunder training session

Harley Bennell tonight took his first steps towards reviving his stalled AFL career when he joined Peel Thunder’s training session in Mandurah.
On Tuesday Bennell was fined $15,000 by Fremantle over a drunken night out which ended with him being thrown out of a Fremantle nightclub just before midnight on Sunday.
The 25-year-old missed training the next morning — the first full session this year.
The Dockers also banished the former Gold Coast Sun from training with the club, sending him to WAFL affiliate Peel Thunder for at least eight weeks.
Bennell refused to answer any questions as he arrived at Bendigo Bank Stadium for his first session just after 4.30pm yesterday.
But he seemed in good spirits as he hit the track with the Peel players about an hour later, moving freely during drills after two seasons largely ruined by his troublesome calves.
Bennell, who has played just two games for the Dockers and is in the final year of his three-year contract, was then pulled out of the main group to run laps.
The session was overseen by dual premiership coach Cam Shepherd.
Boom recruit Ben Howlett was also running laps after joining the club from Essendon.
