Mesut Ozil likely to join Manchester United after huge development

BOOKIES have slashed odds on Arsenal star Mesut Ozil joining Alexis Sanchez at Manchester United.
Manchester United shocked the world on Monday when they announced the signing of Sanchez from Arsenal.
However, the Chile international was not the only Gunners player on their radar.
Express Sport understands United are keen to sign Ozil, and initially wanted the Arsenal star as a replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan before the Sanchez deal came along.
And BetStars say they have slashed odds on Ozil moving to Old Trafford, with the Germany international's contract at Arsenal expiring at the end of the season.
BetStars Director of Trading Ian Marmion said: "Manchester United's odds of completing a deal for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil have fallen amid reports that the Gunners are unwilling to meet Ozil's wage demands.
"The German midfielder is now at 7/1 to move to Old Trafford.
"Ozil is out of contract at the end of the season and United have already completed a deal for his now former teammate Alexis Sanchez, whose contract was also set to come to an end this summer.
"Real Madrid (20/1) and Paris Saint-Germain (25/1) will look to Ozil should a move to United fail to materialise, although their lengthy odds suggest that Ozil is likely to remain in the Premier League, with Old Trafford his most likely destination."

Where Ozil would fit in at United would be a problem for Jose Mourinho.
Despite losing Mkhitaryan, the club are well-stocked in the No10 position.
Jesse Lingard has blossomed in the role in recent times, with his stunning form likely to lead to a place on England's plan for the World Cup squad in the summer.
Juan Mata is another capable of operating in that area, while Sanchez may be played there too.
