Andrew Gaff hit: Matthew Pavlich’s cryptic tweet about Gaff-Brayshaw relationship

A cryptic tweet from Fremantle Dockers great Matthew Pavlich appears to have called into question West Coast chief executive Trevor Nisbett's claim that Andrew Brayshaw and Andrew Gaff played golf together just days before their on-field confrontation.
Nisbett yesterday used his press conference to explain how Gaff, Brayshaw, and Brayshaw's brother Hamish - who is on the Eagles list - played golf together last week ahead of the Eagles star's hit that broke the young Docker's jaw.
“It is an extremely unusual circumstance. Five days ago the three of them were on the golf course together," Nisbett said yesterday.
"They have a genuine friendship."
But Pavlich this morning took to Twitter to appear to dispute the claim the pair had played golf together.
"If you’re going to be critical of getting the facts right, you’d want to be sure that yours are accurate also," Pavlich wrote.
"Particularly if they’ve never actually met...."
Pavlich concluded his post with a golf emoji and an emoji of a person thinking.
The post had almost 500 likes in its first two hours, and more than 100 retweets - including one from Dockers midfielder Lachie Neale.
The dispute marks another twist in the story that has captivated the football world ahead of Gaff's tribunal appearance this afternoon.
