West Coast Eagles top nominations for AFL Players’ Association MVP voting

West Coast have four players in contention to win the AFL Players’ Association MVP after the club’s impressive season.
The Eagles are the sole club to have a quartet of players nominated, with every other team putting forward three names.
But each winner of the AFLPA’s MVP of the Month receives an automatic nomination, meaning Jack Darling is in contention alongside the nominated Elliot Yeo, Andrew Gaff and Shannon Hurn.
The three nominated players for each club are voted on by their teammates.
Fremantle veteran David Mundy is one of the three Dockers in the mix, alongside Lachie Neale and the improved Ed Langdon.
Brownlow Medal contenders Tom Mitchell, Max Gawn, Patrick Cripps, Dustin Martin, Brodie Grundy and Clayton Oliver all received nominations.
Langdon and Brad Sheppard are also in the mix for the Most Courageous prize after earning nominations from their clubs.
But they’ll face stiff competition from the likes of Joel Selwood and Callan Ward.
