Zidane 'open to offer' from Man Utd with fans wanting him more than Pochettino

ZINEDINE ZIDANE is contemplating an offer to replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, according to reports.
The former Real Madrid boss is planning on returning to management in time for the 2019-20 season.
And AS understand a proposal to take over at Old Trafford is on the table and under consideration.
SunSport believe Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is the No.1 candidate in the eyes of the United hierarchy.
But a compensation fee of in excess of £40million means the club will have to shell out a world record amount to lure the Argentine away from north London.
United's decision-makers may also be interested by a poll which revealed that Zidane - who won the Champions League in three successive seasons with Real - is the favourite among supporters for the role.
Ole Gunnar Solakjaer has been placed in caretaker charge until the end of the season and could yet be retained with United and Molde having agreed a £7.2million deal if the Norwegian proves to be a hit.
There is little doubt however that Zidane's credentials make him the outstanding contender to succeed Mourinho, following his sacking this week.
The 46-year-old has ambitions of managing the France national team and former club Juventus during his career, but neither position is currently available.
That could see him accept an offer to join United next summer.
A SunSport poll of fans revealed that 44% want Zidane as the next manager, ahead of Pochettino and Michael Carrick, the latter of whom will work as a coach alongside Solskjaer for the rest of the campaign.
In his only senior managerial position at the Bernabeu the World Cup winner won seven major honours in 30 months.
He showed himself to be adept at uniting a squad of global superstars; a skill he would need to repeat in Manchester.
Furthermore, SunSport revealed earlier this season that United's record signing Paul Pogba wants to play under Zidane at some stage in his career, but it remains to be seen if the club are swayed by his desire.
