Carlton investigating Alex Fasolo’s broken arm in off-field incident

Carlton recruit Alex Fasolo reportedly broke his arm while wrestling with a mate during Australia Day celebrations.
The Herald Sun is reporting the WA forward tripped on a gutter while play-fighting, then broke his left arm after putting it out to break his fall.
It is unclear if the club will impose any punishment over the incident.
The former Collingwood forward had surgery to fix the break on Sunday night, with recovery expected to take six to eight weeks.
The Blues issued a statement about the matter on Sunday night.
“Fasolo immediately notified the club at the time of his injury and was taken to the Alfred hospital,” the club said.
“The club is investigating the circumstances of the incident and will be in a position to provide further comment once more details have been ascertained.”
Fasolo’s break is the latest in a string of injuries at Carlton this pre-season after co-captain Sam Docherty tore his ACL for a second time, Matthew Kreuzer underwent surgery on his knee, Jarrod Pickett ruptured a patella tendon, Mitch McGovern suffered a back fracture and Liam Jones broke his left hand.
