Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is prepared to release Alex Sanchez on-loan next season.
The Sun says Solskjaer, certain to land the job permanently, believes the Chilean's future lies elsewhere.
But United already know they will struggle to sell a player on Sanchez's massive wages – up to £25million a year.
Instead, the Old Trafford outfit are preparing to make Sanchez — who has been a disaster since joining from Arsenal — available on a loan deal in the hope of tempting clubs.
Sanchez arrived on a four-and-half-year deal in January 2018 in a swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
He has struggled throughout and Solskjaer will not fight to keep him in his squad.
